Cannot sign into main Microsoft account due to not receiving verification codes
发布时间:2026-09-07 | 浏览:1
I am having trouble signing into my main Microsoft account because I am not receiving verification codes neither on my mail nor my phone.
Account recovery form was unsuccessful.
I was having trouble contacting MS support.
I am logged into my account on my main desktop, but as I am currently travelling I will not have access to it for some time.
I do however have access to the mail and phone number tied to my main MS account.

My problem was solved however by eventually receiving a delayed verification code through sms. 0 comments No comments Sign in to comment Add comment

AI answer 2025-12-23T00:31:55.6333333+00:00 If you're not receiving verification codes for your Microsoft account, here are some steps you can take: Retry Receiving Codes : Attempt to request the verification code multiple times (up to five times in five minutes) to see if it eventually comes through. Check Third-Party Apps : If you have any third-party security apps installed, they might be blocking the verification messages. Try disabling these apps temporarily and then request the code again. Use Alternative Verification Methods : If you have set up multiple verification methods, try signing in again and select a different method on the sign-in page. Contact Support : If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to reach out to Microsoft support for further assistance. Since you mentioned that contacting support seems difficult, ensure you are using the correct support channels for your region. Check Account Settings : Make sure that the phone number and email address associated with your account are correct and active. Troubleshoot Phone Options : If you're having issues with phone authentication, review the troubleshooting steps for phone options, such as checking for blocked numbers or ensuring your phone service is active. If you are still unable to access your account after trying these solutions, it may be necessary to wait until you have access to your main desktop to resolve the issue directly through your account settings. I understand that you're having trouble receiving the verification code. This usually indicates that your account is temporarily suspended. In the meantime, please check your Junk or Spam email folders to see if the verification emails were filtered there, and make sure your phone isn’t blocking text messages from unknown or short-code numbers. Also, try switching your internet connection to a different network (such as mobile hotspot) and then request the verification code again to see if you’re able to sign in. For reference, see: Troubleshoot Microsoft account verification code issues Note that you can only use the account recovery form if two-step verification isn’t turned on for your account. If two-step verification is enabled, you’ll need to submit the account reinstatement form directly to the Microsoft Digital Safety team and see if they can reinstate your account. https://www.microsoft.com/digitalsafety/account-reinstatement In the section that says “What type of issue are you experiencing logging in?” , select “ I am not receiving the provided code. ” and then submit the form. 0 comments No comments Sign in to comment Add comment
