Tally API for Developers & White
发布时间:2026-09-19 | 浏览:1
Your connector. Your branding. Your revenue.
Build an integration service around the software your customers already use. Offer a branded Tally connector and charge for implementation, custom workflows, training and ongoing support.
Bizmitra provides the connector infrastructure. Your team builds the application integration and manages its customer-facing service.

Illustration of a branded connector. The branding options available to you — including whether Bizmitra attribution is shown — depend on your account and commercial arrangement.
Brand the customer experience
Configure the branding options available for your account and generate the connector for your customers.
Focus development on your product
Use Bizmitra’s APIs and desktop connector instead of building your own Tally connectivity layer.
Manage customer connections
Check pairing, connector and Tally connection status from the developer portal. Use the available status APIs to bring that visibility into your application.
Own the customer relationship
You define the service, the workflows and the support your customers buy from you.
Commercial note: Bizmitra usage charges and branding terms apply. Confirm production pricing and support responsibilities before quoting your customer.
Who is this for?
SaaS companies, independent developers, integration agencies and AI product teams building software for customers who use Tally.
Bring a specific customer workflow to test — for example, sending supported sales transactions to Tally, or retrieving supported vouchers for your application.
What can you build with Bizmitra?
Connect business applications to Tally
Build integrations between Tally and API-enabled ecommerce, CRM, ERP or other business software. Map the source data to supported Bizmitra operations and track the result in Tally.
Extend existing customer workflows
Let customers keep using their preferred applications while transferring supported accounting data to or from Tally. For payroll or HRMS projects, confirm the required accounting entries before committing to the integration.
Migrate supported data in phases
Use supported read and write operations to transfer selected records between Tally and another application. Agree on record types, mapping and reconciliation first. This is not a promise of complete Tally data migration.
These are workflows developers can build with Bizmitra APIs. Ready-made integrations, where available, are listed separately. API access and permissions in the other application are also required.
Supported operations, endpoint by endpoint → · also see the data model and voucher kinds and types .
Connect your AI agent or MCP server to Tally
Give your AI application access to supported Tally data and transactions through Bizmitra APIs. Build your own agent tools or MCP server around the workflows your customers need.
A ready-made Bizmitra MCP server is not included in this offer. Your team builds and maintains the MCP layer, permissions and approval steps for actions that write data.
Start with authentication and the endpoint reference to decide which operations become agent tools, then jobs and transactions for how an agent confirms a write actually landed.
How Bizmitra connects your application to Tally.
Your application sends requests to Bizmitra over REST APIs. Bizmitra routes work to the linked desktop connector, which communicates with Tally. Your application can retrieve supported Tally data and check sync results through the API.
Your application
Sends requests for supported Tally operations.
Authenticates the request and routes it to the linked connector.
Your branded desktop connector
Runs alongside the customer’s Tally and carries out the work.
The customer’s Tally company on their own machine.
The connector runs on a Windows environment that can reach the customer’s Tally installation. Your cloud application does not connect directly to Tally. Why the Connector exists →
An accepted request is not a completed write. Check the documented job or sync result to confirm that a transaction reached Tally. Connection status helps you diagnose availability; it does not guarantee that a later write will succeed. Two responses, not one →
Build, test and monitor.
Use API documentation, sample payloads and the Postman collection to test your integration. Check sync logs in the connector and connection status in the developer portal. Contact the team when you need help checking whether a workflow fits the supported API.
Review the current sandbox limits, supported operations and required Tally version before you plan a customer rollout — see sandbox and test data , the API reference and Connector requirements . When you are close to going live, work through the go-live checklist .
Start with one working customer workflow.
Six steps take you from a free developer account to a supported workflow you can show a customer.
Create your account and sandbox
Register, sign in and set up sandbox access in the developer portal.
Create a developer account →
Set up the application and customer
Create the application, customer and company, and assign the company to the customer.
Customers and companies →
Add branding and generate the connector
Configure the available branding options, then generate and download the connector.
Branded Connectors →
Prepare Tally and connect
Start Tally, configure its port, enter the connection settings in the connector, and complete pairing and company setup.
How pairing works →
Test with Postman
Download and import the collection, set the required credentials and variables, then test a supported workflow and check its result.
Postman collection →
Request production access
Confirm commercial terms and complete the required approval process before customer production use.
Go-live checklist →
Questions developers ask.
Extend the software businesses already use.
We want businesses to keep the software they prefer and extend its capabilities through Bizmitra. Tally integration is the starting point. Broader software-to-software connectivity is a future plan, separate from the capabilities available today.
The documentation.
Public, versioned and searchable at docs.bizmitra.io . No account needed to read it.
Start here: your first request
Ping, check company health, read something real — then write.
The key pair, storing it, identifying the company, and rotation.
Supported operations
Every endpoint family: vouchers, transactions, reports, masters, pairing and webhooks.
How pairing works
Generate a code, get the Connector installed, verify the link — and re-pair when it breaks.
Troubleshooting: company health
Use health as a gate before you write, and surface it to your own users.
Confirming a write landed
Two responses, not one: acceptance is not completion.
Verifying webhook signatures
The verification steps, reference implementations and the common mistakes.
The shape of a voucher, signs, statutory context and exact master names.
